Terms and Conditions

Smoking is not permitted inside the cottages or in the games room.
If you require to cancel your reservation for any reason you must notify Finn Valley Cottages as soon as possible by telephone and confirm the cancellation in writing. We will then attempt to find alternative guests for the cottage but if we are unsuccessful then you will not be entitled to a refund of any deposit paid .

Bookings are accepted on the understanding that the cottage is taken for holiday purposes or business tourism only and that, excepting babies under 12 months of age, the number of guests in each cottage is limited to that shown on the booking form and as agreed in advance. (Foyle Cottage maximum 8 people, Finn Cottage maximum 6 people, Strule Cottage maximum 6 people, Derg Cottage maximum 2 people)

Bookings cannot be accepted from anyone under eighteen years of age

A “Good house-keeping deposit” of £100 or euro equivalent, is payable on booking. This is returnable approximately 10 days after the date of departure providing there is no damage to the property or its contents.

Full payment must be made at least six weeks before the start of your holiday.

You are responsible for your own cancellation insurance arrangements
Pets may be allowed by prior arrangement, but only in Finn Cottage. Only a maximum of two pets, by arrangement will be permitted.

You will be responsible for repair or replacement of any breakages, loss or damage and should leave the cottage in a clean, neat and tidy condition. If the cottage is not left in a reasonable state of cleanliness, an additional cleaning charge of £15/hour will be deducted from the good house-keeping deposit. Please let Anne or David know of any mishaps so that we can repair or replace in time for our next visitors. Breakages or damages will be charged at cost price.

Anne and David reserve the right to seek compensation for any damage discovered after you have departed from the cottage.

Wheelie bins are provided for the disposal of waste. Clean bottles and glass, cardboard and clean packaging materials should be placed in the blue bin. All other waste items should be placed in the black bin.

Anne & David cannot accept any liability for loss or damage to belongings or for any injury sustained while you are at Finn Valley Cottages.

Security. When no-one is in the cottage it should be locked and the alarm activated. Windows should be closed or left in the “locked open” position.

Illegal drugs. Anyone in possession of or using illegal drugs will be required, together with all other members of his/her group occupying the cottage, to vacate the premises immediately.  In such circumstances there can be no refund for any part of the pre-booked time not used.

The games room should be locked when not in use. Children under 12 should be supervised while in the games room.

Your cottage will normally be ready for occupation at 4.00 pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00 am on the day of departure. Please arrange with Anne your arrival time in advance as alternative arrival and departure times can often be arranged .
